Cinco de Mayo con Tio

This day marks the victory of the Mexican army over the French in Puebla.

As stated in Time Magazine "The Puebla victory came to symbolize unity and pride for what seemed like a Mexican David defeating a French Goliath." It helped establish a much-needed sense of national unity and patriotism.

What better way to celebrate the pride of Mexico than with everyone's favorite uncle known as 'Tio' and his famous tacos. If you have not visited this restaurant, it's time you did. The food is great, but it is the spectacular, ever changing art made from up cycled trash that draws the crowds (and the t.v. crews). Don't miss out on one man's (Riverside) treasures:
