Do you love Riverside? We do too! Do you love to take pictures? We do too! Let's take pictures of our favorite places and share them here. This is your chance to show off your journalistic photography skills and your community pride.

Send your photos for consideration to:
moretoexploreriverside@gmail.com
att: Riverside

Submission does not guarantee publication. This is a curated photo weblog. The editors reserve the right to post and/or remove photos from the site.

Please note: We want to see pictures of public spaces that we can all visit. Please do no submit personal photos of your last birthday party with 50 of your friends. (see below about model releases) Just review the blog for examples.

We will attribute your photo with a copyright symbol, year of submission, name of the photographer, and place where it was taken.  If you are a local artist, photographer, or organization, we can also share a link to your site (upon editor's approval).

Maximum photo size: Each image can be no larger than 20 megabytes and are restricted to 50 megapixels or less. We crop ours into squares, but will accept other shapes (portrait or landscape)

Please include a list of the following in the email:
    • file name
    • exact location in Riverside-include closest Street names
    • name of the photographer to be attributed
    • if there are people in the photo-see below

**NOTE: In regards to taking photos of other people: If you are in a public space, taking photos in a journalistic manner and are not using the images for commercial use (like sharing them here), you probably don't need a model release. However, it is always courteous to ask someone, if possible, for their permission. We do reserve the right to remove any photo that becomes a source of complaint.

If you are on private property (in a restaurant, for example) and you can recognize any people in your photos, they are then considered models and should sign a release form to consent to their image being shared here. If they are minors, their parent or guardian must sign the form. You can download a release form online from MCP Actions (and get some great photography tips). Please keep the form on file and be able to produce it, when/if asked. The responsibility is yours, so plan ahead and always have some forms in your camera bag!

Enjoy the process. Taking photographs is fun!
