The kind folks over at
Riverside Live Steamers let me poke around in their train yard one afternoon during a work day. These volunteers work hard to keep these trains on the tracks in Hobby Hunter Park. You can take a ride on every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 10am to 3pm. Don't be late, as they sometimes have to shut the gates early (2:30pm) due to large crowds. You will be glad you did. By the way, they are always looking for volunteers. Hint, hint.
