Armed with a thickly applied layer of sunscreen and a hat, I headed over to the
Chili Cook Off and Car Show this weekend for a look/see. As a classic car lover, I was blown away by the number of cars being shown at this event. It was much larger than I had expected. They were lined up and down the center divider, side by side for several blocks! We made our way right past the chili and walked straight into motor heaven. It was a bit Chevy heavy, but there was still plenty of other makes to view.

Unfortunately we spent so much time with the cars, that when we were ready to do our chili test and vote, many vendors had ran out! We will remember that for next year. I have to note here that the bowl of chili we had for lunch from the Riverside City College Culinary Arts department was by far the best. ( There must be a reason that they were not competing-no contest!)
